Skiathos Island – Kayak Expedition

We grab our paddles and kayaks and head to the sea. Our main destination will be Skiathos, a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea. Skiathos is the westernmost island of the Northern Sporades group. Here is where you'll find everything a kayaker could ask for. From tranquil turquoise waters and sandy beaches to rough seas and rocky shores for the more daring. Just 4 km separate us from the mainland.
Words can’t describe the beaches – they must be seen. Skiathos has 60 magnificent beaches, with the famous Koukounaries Beach in the southwest standing out. Koukounaries is a long, clean sandy beach with soft white sand, and the pine forest surrounding it offers natural shade in the afternoon heat. Its still wild character is why it attracts young adventurers.
Another popular beach is Banana Beach, while the neighboring Small Banana Beach offers more tranquility with its blue waters and pine forests. For those who prefer to stay away from the crowds, the western coast of Skiathos with its beaches Mandraki, Elia, Akistros, and Asselinos is ideal. Lalaria, on the northern side of the island, is one of those once-in-a-lifetime beaches. The unique white rock formations, small pebbles, and crystal-clear waters create a breathtaking landscape. Lalaria can only be accessed by boat from the port of Skiathos.
The daily paddling will be between 10 to 15 km with long breaks for sunbathing, and the nights will be spent under the stars.
To join this adventure, you must have basic experience in sea kayaking or have participated in one of our kayak programs. The journey will take place in an expedition style. What does this mean? We sleep on wild beaches under the open sky, carry all our gear in the kayaks (tent, sleeping mat, camping cooking gear, food, and water). The islands have a modern touch, so if we get tired of the wilderness, we’re just a step away from civilization. As we say in Greece, every beach has a taverna.
If desired, we can also arrange hotel accommodation. You will have the opportunity to choose between a two-person or a single kayak depending on your skills.
Single kayaks are available only to participants with proven experience and completion of a sea kayaking course. Tents and sleeping mats are provided with prior reservation.

Important:
- In the event of a change in weather conditions during the tour or other unforeseen situations, the guide may change the route or offer another alternative option to the participants for their safety.
- If the program cannot happen due to bad weather forecast, the organizer will refund 100% of the price to the participants
- In order to take part in the tour, you must be in good physical health and condition, and notify the organizer in case you have any illnesses or injuries
- If the number of participants is less than the minimum 6 and the program will not happen, the organizer will notify all registered participants up to 7 days before the event
- Discounts cannot be combined

The tourist owes a penalty as follows:
- 60 or more days before tour start: Cancellation fee of 30 BGN, as well as if there are actual expenses incurred for plane tickets, ferry fees, hotel reservations, insurance, visas, bus tickets, etc., included in the package price of the trip
- Between 59 and 45 days before tour start: 30% from the price
- Between 44 and 30 days before tour start: 50% from the price
- Between 29 and 15 days before tour start: 80% from the price
- Less than 14 days before tour start: 100% from the price
