The Ionian Sea is one of our favorite destinations. The islands of Paxos and Antipaxos are an adventure for true kayaking enthusiasts. Nestled between Corfu and Lefkada, these islands remain less popular and less crowded, yet they offer everything a sea kayaker–adventurer could wish for. The paddling will be in true expedition style (overnight stays on deserted beaches, carrying all bivouac gear and food in our kayaks).
The program is designed to provide access to shops for restocking supplies, and there is always the option to stay in a hotel if we decide to take a break from the wild camping.
Our expeditions are led by the only licensed sea kayak guides in the country, so you can trust us completely.
The goal of the expedition is a full circumnavigation of both islands, weather and sea conditions permitting.

Tour Itinerary

Meeting 1:00 AM - Sofia, the parking lot in front of the Vasil Levski National Stadium.

Departure from Sofia in the early hours, depending on the ferry schedule (the exact departure time will be уточнено additionally). Transfer Sofia – Igoumenitsa – Paxos. We unload the equipment and prepare the kayaks for our journey. We load everything needed into the boats, grab our paddles, and head out to sea.
It is important to note that the plan and exact daily itinerary can only be finalized once the weather forecast is clear—please trust the judgment of our qualified guides. Your safety is our top priority. After the day’s paddling, we choose a secluded beach to land. We set up camp and, while watching the sunset, end a wonderful day spent on the water.

With renewed energy, we continue the adventure along the coast of Paxos Island. The day’s paddling distance will be determined by the overall condition of the group—it is important that everyone feels comfortable. In the evening, we will spend the night under the stars at our bivouac.

Today, with a favorable forecast, we may cross over to the paradise known as Antipaxos Island. Its beaches, with their deep blue, crystal-clear waters, are often compared to Caribbean landscapes. This will be the last full day dedicated to paddling and exploring the coastline of this charming island. Circumnavigating Antipaxos is achievable for any reasonably experienced, intermediate-level kayaker.

It’s time to return toward Paxos. Another full day devoted to paddling and exploring the coastline of this beautiful island.

We catch the ferry back to Igoumenitsa and begin our journey home.

Important:
  • In the event of a change in weather conditions during the tour or other unforeseen situations, the guide may change the route or offer another alternative option to the participants for their safety.
  • If the program cannot happen due to bad weather forecast, the organizer will refund 100% of the price to the participants
  • In order to take part in the tour, you must be in good physical health and condition, and notify the organizer in case you have any illnesses or injuries
  • If the number of participants is less than the minimum 6 and the program will not happen, the organizer will notify all registered participants up to 7 days before the event
  • Discounts cannot be combined

The tourist owes a penalty as follows:

  • 60 or more days before tour start: Cancellation fee of 20 € / 39.12 lv., as well as if there are actual expenses incurred for plane tickets, ferry fees, hotel reservations, insurance, visas, bus tickets, etc., included in the package price of the trip
  • Between 59 and 45 days before tour start: 30% from the price
  • Between 44 and 30 days before tour start: 50% from the price
  • Between 29 and 15 days before tour start: 80% from the price
  • Less than 14 days before tour start: 100% from the price
