Tour Itinerary

We reach the port of Igoumenitsa, and from there a short ferry crossing takes us to Corfu itself.
Once ashore we settle into our campsite.
We have planned an easy paddle on the very first day, with instruction for everyone.
The evening is free.

After breakfast, around 8:30, we set off for Sidari, one of the best-known villages in the north of Corfu. The first sight we have lined up for you is the Canal d'Amour, famous for its limestone rock and crystal-clear water. We then pass beneath steep cliffs and caves, including the striking Cape Drastis.
All of it with plenty of breaks and time on the beach.
We have also set aside time for lunch in a superb spot.
After the paddling we head back to the campsite, and in the evening walk into Corfu town to sample real Greek nightlife.

We greet July Morning from the kayaks, out on the water.
The feeling is hard to put into words - paddling by night and watching the first rays of the sun from the boats.
Today's paddle is short, but unforgettable.
We spend the rest of the day catching up on sleep and taking a walk around the island's capital.

We start from Paleokastritsa and paddle in search of the most striking beaches.
The day is full of paddling along superb rocky shores, and we visit some of the loveliest beaches on the island. Afterwards, if time allows, we visit the fortress of Angelokastro and have dinner in the nearby village.

Today is a relaxed day, with noticeably less paddling and more time spent on the beaches.
A visit to the Achilleion.
Built at the wish of the Austrian empress Elisabeth von Wittelsbach, widely known as Princess Sisi, the Achilleion palace is inseparable from her tragic story. Raised in 1892 by the Italian architect Raffaele Carito, the palace reveals Sisi's love of the mysteries of Greek mythology. It is named the Achilleion in honour of her favourite Greek hero, Achilles.

The west coast around Agios Stefanos is among the most beautiful and least tamed parts of Corfu - a genuine pleasure for kayaking and adventures at sea.
Here the coastline is broad and open to the Ionian Sea, with long golden beaches, high dunes and dramatic cliffs dropping sharply to the water. The sea is often livelier here, which makes the area exciting but also demands attention.
Around Agios Stefanos the shore changes gradually - strips of sand, low rock formations and calm little bays in turn. This part of the island is quieter and less built up, with a sense of space and freedom far from the tourist crush.

Today we head for home. We make our way to the port for the ferry. Sadly, even a kayaking adventure like this one has to end.
